Low-budget renovation: A fresh and cozy home for retirement
This low-budget renovation was a special project for us, as we helped create a fresh, modern space for a retired lady who wished to modernize her home without stress and within a reasonable budget. With a financial limit of €7,000, we transformed two key rooms – the dining room and the living room – into cozy and elegant spaces that reflect her personality.
The work included refurbishing parquet flooring, repairing and repainting walls, replacing doors, and introducing custom-built and mobile furniture. We also incorporated existing decorations and furniture, preserving the personal charm of her home.
In the dining room, we replaced the old dark furniture with a modern glass cabinet system featuring clean lines and glass doors, beautifully showcasing her decorations and glassware. Bright walls and a new dining table with chairs added lightness and harmony to the space. Art pieces, already part of her home, now shine against the fresh background.
In the living room, the bulky, outdated furniture was replaced with a minimalist built-in unit in white. This design, paired with a colorful rug and live plants, creates a modern yet warm and inviting atmosphere. We maintained the room’s natural brightness and enhanced it with soft details that breathe life into the space.
This project is dear to our hearts, as it demonstrates that even with a low budget, you can achieve a significant transformation. The client was thrilled with the results – her new space brought her joy, comfort, and a place where she truly feels at home.
