This Canadian log cabin, located across the Slovak border in the Czech Republic, is a perfect example of a blend between traditional wooden architecture and modern design. The key element of the design was the client's request to preserve the white round logs and enhance the space with a wooden floor in light tones. To achieve contrast and visual harmony, we incorporated darker colors, which stand out beautifully against the light wood. The grandeur of the space allowed us to apply these darker accents without worrying about visually reducing the room's size.
The social area and wine cellar, located on the ground floor, became one of the most authentic elements of the project, remaining nearly identical to our original design. This space combines the natural texture of wood with modern elements, such as glass showcases and elegant lighting, creating a unique environment for gatherings and relaxation.
Other parts of the interior were completed by the clients according to their personal preferences.
This project shows that even a traditional space like a log cabin can be modern while respecting its natural aesthetic. The result is a modern and harmonious interior, blending tradition, elegance, and contemporary design.
